Colin 29th September 2017

This the text of an email I sent Chris earlier this year Hello Chris Gill and I were taken aback by the news that your condition is deteriorating. We had the impression that even if you did not fully recover, you were at least stable. Ever since I first met you at the Red Lion you have always given encouragement, and help - to everyone, not just me. Over the years we have had some enjoyable practice sessions, and some very good gigs- the Ramblers BBQ , the sailing club. I always remember the gig we did at that rather grand hotel near Witney, where we played for a long evening. That was the international conference of the Matrix Biologists. Do you recall that there were several Greeks there ? One of them asked if we would play a Greek tune for them to dance to ( it was not Zorbas Dance). I had not a clue but asked him to play their I pod to you during the interval. Needless to say you picked it up rapidly and gave me enough clues to contribute to it, and they all had great time dancing to it for what seemed quite a long time. I was telling some other musicians recently about your ability to play any tune that was called, and how the only question you ask was "what key do you want play it in". We have missed you at Benson, and at our other band sessions. Thanks for your enthusiasm, your company, and for the enjoyment you have given me. Gill says she will make you some caravan biscuits ,to supplement your diet and as non musical reminder of our practice sessions. Where do we find you? John has told us you are moving into a care home. Thinking of you Kindest regards Colin and Gill
